"NEW" Ohio's State Tests for Students

With the start of the school year 2014/2015, all Ohio schools must be fully implementing Ohio's New Learning Standards.  These include the areas of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  There are also newly developed assessments that will replace the OAA tests.  The state of Ohio is partnered with the PARCC consortium and English Language Arts(ELA) and Math. Ohio is also partnered with AIR for Science and Social Studies.

PARCC will be used for Language Arts and Math assessments.  Assessments will include performance Based Tasks and Summative Assessments given over two testing windows.  Testing window one is 2/16-3/30 and the second testing window is 4/13-5/15.

AIR will be used for Science and Social Studies assessments.  AIR will be similar to the PARCC assessments.

All state assessments will incorporate computer based testing in grades 3-8 with High School online assessments phased in as capacity allows.

To begin utilizing the practice tests and websites, please use the Quick Links "New State Assessments" tab and follow the links.
