Remote Learning Days - November 30 & December 1

Dear Eaton Community Schools Parents and Students,

Eaton Community Schools has developed “Remote Learning” schedules and expectations that were sent to families last week through Final Forms and/or Parent Square. These “Remote Learning” schedules and expectations were developed in the event it is determined that any grade level, building or the school district needs to go to Remote Learning for a short- or long-term period of time. If you did not receive these schedules, please contact the building in which your child/children attend.

In preparation for the possibility that Eaton has to implement “Remote Learning” for all students in a grade level, building or the district, we are going to conduct two “Remote Learning” days for all Eaton students on Monday, November 30 and Tuesday, December 1. Attendance will be taken and instruction will be delivered as outlined in the Remote Learning schedules, which can also be found on our website:

www.eaton.k12.oh.us/Content/remotelearning

This will give teachers and administrators the ability to evaluate the schedules and students the opportunity to use the schedules before the possibility of having to do so if Remote Learning is required. With the increase of cases across Ohio and Indiana, utilizing these days for Remote Learning will also give our students and staff two additional days following Thanksgiving Break to minimize potential quarantines. Students will return to in-person instruction on Wednesday, December 2.

Thank you for your continued understanding as we work through challenges we have never faced before. Our priority remains the safety of students and staff. We believe doing what we can to keep students in school is a top safety priority, but we know we must balance this priority with the Covid challenges.

If you have any questions regarding November 30 and December 1, please contact the Principal of the building in which your child attends.

Sincerely,

Jeff Parker

Eaton Community Schools Superintendent
