Staff Crisis Training - October 15th

In the continuing effort to keep our students and staff safe Eaton Community Schools, in partnership with the Eaton Police Department and Eaton Fire/EMS Departments, will be conducing a School Safety Crisis Drill on Tuesday, October 15. There will be numerous emergency vehicles on site for the crisis drill.

This is a Professional Development Day for staff, thus there is no school for students. There will be some students volunteering to participate in the drill. The appropriate areas around each building will be marked and will not be open to the public during the duration of the drill.

All school building offices will be closed for the day on Tuesday, October 15.

Eaton Ranks 18th out of 608 Schools

Recently, the Ohio Department of Education released the results of the District Report Cards. There are many factors taken into consideration for these report cards, but one factor that is missing is the median income of the communities in which students live. Students in lower income communities tend to score lower than those who live in higher income areas.

Cleveland.com decided to look at income as a factor and ranked districts by comparing Report Card results with the median income of each community.

We are excited to announce, that based on this formula, the Eaton Community School District ranks 18th out of 608 Ohio school Districts!  We are extremely proud of our students, staff, and community for this outstanding accomplishment!
